Meet the Award-Winning Reward Team

In October REED won the award for “Most Strategic Communications for Large Organisations” at the Engagement Excellence Awards 2018. The team that led the award-winning project was made up of current and alumni members of the REED Graduate Training Scheme.

The careers team caught up with Marianne Ginis (Head of Reward) and Chris Brindley (Reward Analyst) a few days after the event. Our news article about the award summarises the details of the award and why REED were selected as the winner.

With both Marianne and Chris having started at REED on the Graduate Training Scheme, the Early Talent Team also wanted to find out how they got to their current positions of Head of Reward and Reward Analyst respectively…

A Graduate Scheme for all…

The Graduate Training Scheme at REED has been running for over 20 years and has an incredible track record of producing senior managers across the business. In addition to Marianne as Head of Reward, other examples include Head of Property, Katie Smith; prior Managing Director of, Martin Warnes; and current Managing Director of Reed Specialist Recruitment, Tom Lovell.

The award-winning graduate scheme accepts graduates from all degree disciplines with a 2.1 classification or above, with wider vacancies available to all other graduates via our main careers site. The three-year graduate scheme starts by testing graduates’ abilities to deliver results in an operational role (such as Sales or Consulting) before being given the option to rotate to other business areas in years 2 and 3, such as Marianne and Chris (featured above) chose to do.


As part of the project to increase company-wide awareness and uptake of the wide range of benefits on offer, the Reward Team launched a competition in which Co-Members across REED were asked to share their favourite benefits on LinkedIn using #RewardsAtREED.

With the Reward Team being the most closely involved and knowledgeable Co-Members in regards to the benefits available to staff at REED, the careers team were also curious to find out what Marianne and Chris’s personal favourite benefits were…
